Volunteering

Markham Public Library appreciates all the hard works of our volunteers! Volunteer recruitment is an ongoing process. In order to be considered for a position you must:

• Be at least 13 years old
• Commit to a minimum of 40 volunteer hours
• Attend a Volunteer Information Session

The Volunteer Information Session provides information on Markham Public Library volunteer policies, and colunteer opportunities and responsibilities. Attendance at a session is mandatory for all potential volunteers. The sessions are held througout the year at various MPL branches.
