Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB)
In partnership with the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB), this pilot project makes library services more accessible for the blind and visually impaired residents of the Town of Markham. Through an electronic link established between the Markham Public Library and the CNIB Library, the public library staff can search the CNIB Library's online catalogue and reserve materials for registered CNIB customers. Launched on May 22, 1997, this new service is part of the Markham Public Librarys' long-standing commitment to provide opportunity for equitable access to library resources for all residents of the Town of Markham. For more information regarding this service, please contact your local Branch.
