Computer Workstations
We provide three types of computer workstations in the library for accessing the library catalogue, Internet and a variety of computer software.

Our staff will assist you in searching the library catalogue, the Internet and using the software available on the workstations. You may also try our recommended Internet Tutorials or even take a free Internet Training course we offer. Check the Computer Programs page for date and time. We also provide seven online computer training tutorials for you to learn some Microsoft software at your own pace.
In-library cataolgues provide online access to the library catalogue where you can search the catalogue, request library materials, browse our new bestseller or recommended book lists and even renew your own materials.
Each branch has workstations that provide access to the internet and MPL's online databases. Your library card entitles you to 60 minutes of computer use each day. Filtered Internet stataions are available in the Children's areas of each branch.
Access to the Lunauweb - Markham Local History Online is available on designated Workstations at each branch.
Software varies by branch. All branches include Microsoft Office software including Word and Excel. PowerPoint, FrontPage and Publisher is available at some locations
Children's CD ROM Workstations
The Library provides access to a variety of CD-ROMs for children.

- Children titles: Canadian Encyclopedia, Eyewitness Children's Encyclopedia, Franklin's Activity Centre & reading World, Great Canadian Scientists, Magic School Bus (various titles), Freddi Fish, Arthur's Series, Ultimate Human Body and many more.
