Understand the realities of money management, savings, and investing. You are welcome to bring your parent to the program so that the family can work together towards a common goal such as saving up for University, and to have an appreciation of financial planning.

Trying to figure out what you need to get into the university of their choice? This workshop looks at course choices in high school, choosing universities, applying, having a back up plan (just in case) and dealing with the waiting game.

Public speaking is a fear many young adults have. Communicating well is an essential life skill and vital for success in school, work and ultimately in life. Through non-threatening oral language exercises and drama activities, participants will develop self-confidence in their speaking skills. Participants will learn strategies for dealing with nervousness in order to become effective communicators.

The Volunteer Information Session provides information on Markham Public Library volunteer policies, and volunteer opportunities and responsibilities. Attendance does not guarantee a placement however it is required for anyone who is interested in volunteering at any MPL location.
