| e-Homework Computer Workshop |
Ages 8 - 12 |
Teaches computer skills required for completing homework on Microsoft Word. Students are introduced to correct touch-typing skills before poor habits are developed. Microsoft Word topics include: formatting, lists, columns, tables, images, drawing, margins, & the use of shortcut keys. Topics also include: using templates to create signs, calendars, flyers, brochures & more. This program does not include instruction of Internet resources.

| Excel and PowerPoint |
Ages 9 - 15 yrs |
Topics include the application of Microsoft Excel, an electronic spreadsheet that enables you to create worksheets for data entry, to make calculations and charts. Focus is on teaching students to use formulas, functions and graphs. This course also teaches students to make presentations with Microsoft PowerPoint, for easy organization and delivery of ideas to an audience. Markham Village

| FrontPage - Web Design |
Ages 11 - 15 yrs |
Master the basics of FrontPage, including text layout, image placement, tables, frames, hyperlinks and more. Students will create advanced and interactive web page designs on the topic of their choice. These websites can be posted on the Internet.

Ages 11 - 15 yrs |
Provides a thorough guide to creating websites using HTML (Hypertext Transfer Mark-up Language). Students will follow step-by-step lessons to create their own website using HTML tags including headings, images, tables, hyperlinks and more. Students will learn to post their websites on the Internet.

| Keyboarding - Beginner |
Ages 8 - 15 |
Students learn the correct typing technique including the correct finger position on the keyboard, typing lower & uppercase letters, numbers & other characters without looking at the keyboard. In addition to lessons completed in class, students will have access to personalized online accounts to learn & improve their typing skills. The typing accounts contain lessons, exercises & exciting typing games tailored to each student's needs. Markham Village Branch uses Microsoft Office 2007

Students will improve on their speed & accuracy by completing lessons, exercises, & tests. In addition to lessons completed in class, students will continue to have access to their personalized online accounts to improve speed & accuracy. Markham Village Branch uses Microsoft Office 2007.

| My First Computer Workshop |
Ages 5 - 7 |
Students learn to type and use basic features of Microsoft Word and Paint. Other topics include: printing, saving, clipart pictures, font, drawing and educational games. Students will also have access to personalized online accounts to complete typing lessons, activities and games.

| My Second Computer Workshop |
Ages 5 - 8 |
Students will learn more features of Microsoft Word, improve on their typing skills, & learn to create publications such as signs & calendars. Other topics include: opening & saving files, cut, copy, & paste, wordart, clipart and more. Students will continue to have access to personalized online accounts to complete more typing lessons, activities & games. Prerequisite: My First Computer Workshop
