Are you new to Canada? Markham Public Library offers services to help new Canadians with their settlement needs.

Library Settlement Partnerships (LSP) is an information service for newcomers in the community. It is a partnership of local settlment agencies, public libraries and Citizenship and Immigration Canada. Visit the LSP website for more information.

Settlement workers at the library offer one-on-one settlement information on topics such as schools and education, career and employment, housing, health care and immigration. LSP services also include referrals to free government and community services, information workshops and community outreach. Currently settlment workers are available at Angus Glen Branch and Milliken Mills Branch.
